  1. Ok, so much better now that I'm not on screen! Vocally, please tell me we don't sound like that- so empty!

O/W, there was a spot in Desert when the band resolved the end of a phrase differently than I did- when repeating the chorus. I need to be more careful when that happens to make sure I end on the same note. Also, because I (we) am the only one singing a particular part, it is important to watch my phrasing and breath- because I hear a void when that part drops out.

That't all! Is that what people hear on TV? Please tell me no....

  2. I noticed that I sped up when starting the first chorus in Mighty to Save. Luckily I was able to slow back down by listening to the metronome, but I need to be more careful of that in the future.

Vocalists, you guys all sounded great! Don't worry about the lack of vocal effects on this recording, the TV one will be better mixed. The harmonies all sounded really good!

I'm not sure if it was just the mix, but the first verse/chorus of Desert Song sounded a bit involved. I think Jon's guitar might have just been a bit too loud in this mix, but I'm not sure.

John Kim, I loved the shots, man! You got a bunch of really good angles this week. Maybe just open up the aperture and let in a little more light on the shots of the band. Your shots on front of the stage were lit well, but shots of Jon, Dennis, and Me seemed a little dark.

    Fuller, you're sexy.

Angelo, I love the energy you bring every week! You are natural at stage presence!

Jon, it's been great getting to see you start playing here. I've noticed you seem to be getting more comfortable, and you have started opening up on stage more and being more energetic. Keep up that trend, man! The more energy the better.

To all band guys, I totally recommend putting in the extra time to memorize the songs and go off book. I did that for the first time this week, and it made a huge difference for me. I was more confident in the music and was able to focus more on worshiping.

  3. Thanks, David. I decided to dress better (like Jimmy). That's what you're seeing.

  4. We definitely sound like that:)

We need to always make sure we are blending as great as possible. It's always much more noticeable on the recording instead of in the house.

The more we work on it, the better it will get.

David, great job on going without the music! Hopefully, everyone will follow suit!!!

    Great job guys

  5. What is our general thought on movement and prayer? When Fuller was praying over the offering we had him on the screen while dawning his guitar and moving around the stage. (Especially for first service when we are a little more unpolished) Could we use the PVP (effects screen) shot for when we have the person praying having to move around? or having lots of movement behind the prayer? We sometimes will have some cool shots of candles or something to cut to, but we may not have it ready or available.

  6. Good question,... it's always good to really think through each transition including what twill be on screen... it will make us more professional and less distracting...
