What a great Sunday! And it definitely all came together for the 3rd service!
All the camera ops did a great job this week. Lots of good dynamic, moving shots. And I loved having the roamer off the front of the stage, great job with all those shots, John!
I loved all the energy that was on stage this week! Get Up started us off with lots of energy and movement, and we kept it going through the whole service! It really helps engage the congregation when we have tons of energy.
Micah young Levite: I love you bro. If I filled out a connect card when i first started coming to newhope consistently, i def would have said that your soul and spirit were what i loved about newhope. I will miss you man... hope to spend more time with you soon. J-Skillz: teach me how to drum like you bro... you bring it every single time! Jenny from the block: I hope Pastor BK really did you cut your tires in the name of Jesus =] Its not even about your stage presence, which was phenomenal... your heart beats beautifully through your voice. Thank you for coming up from Fla! Dave: You worship in a way that is completely free. Unabashedly in love with Jesus. And you're really tall. Between you and Micah, I felt like Daunte Culpepper in the pocket behind to great lineman. I couldn't even see myself behind you, like a reverse eclipse. To everyone else... it is such a privilege to be united with you guys in worship for the King of kings. Love you guys!
Last Sunday's worship celebration was incredible. My heart is still leaping uncontrollably from the beautiful outpouring of worship and holiness I witnessed in our church. Team - you bared your hearts to the Lord as leaders and helped us all enter into a place where we could become lost in the magnificence of our great Father in heaven. I absolutely could NOT contain myself and feel that same joy bubbling up inside of my soul! I still contend that MUSIC is not WORSHIP... BUT when you completely open yourself up to the Lord as musical leaders and let that connection show, others feel that much more comfortable to free themselves in complete submission to GOD. I think the celebratory JOY and PEACE and HOLINESS that remains in our spirit as fuel throughout the week is the epitome of worship...
Thank you, thank you, thank you team. Thank you Lord for this amazing group of people. May we keep the hearts and mentality of servants as we continue in holy pursuit of Your name.
This was such an amazing experience for me, guys! Thanks so much for having me. It is undeniable that God has his hands over your church. You all are such spirited people, on fire for Jesus! Keep on worshipping intensely and unapologetically!

Ditto that on "Get Up". That one just plain rocked... everyone.
ReplyDeleteShaun, loved the going-out riff at the end too.
I'd like to hear/play more songs like this one, especially opening up worship.
