  1. This was probably my favorite week to be involved with the WAM team and get to play! I'm not even going to go into the music and production (which I thought were amazing! That was the best we've ever done Get Up!) During the second and third messages several of us were having some deep conversations out on the patio, and Dennis made an incredibly obvious yet insightful comment...

When we get spiritually re-centered AND PRAY before we go back out on stage, then God shows up in a big way during that set. When we pray that God takes us out of the way, we pray that God sends angels to protect the church from Satan's attacks, and invoke the name of Jesus to bind Satan and cast him from the church then EVERY STINKING TIME the next worship set is spectacular!

I think this is something we need to start doing before each and every worship set. I truly believe that this is a necessary step in order for the WAM team to reach the next level. Yes, we can practice a lot and make the music better or the production better. But in order to take the next step as Worship Leaders (not performers) then we need to start praying and re-centering before each and every time we step on that stage.

  2. Again, I'm bummed I wasnt able to follow thru and worship with the team on this weekend, but I wanted to address David's comment, because I think it is thoroughly important. Every service is impactful, and different, and the Holy Spirit may want to operate through us on a different level, to fill another void, and we MUST be prayed up, repentant, and realize that we are walking on holy ground when we step on that stage. Our hearts and minds need to be right, and even though God uses us DESPITE us sometimes, we cant always count on that grace each and every time. Imagine the move that would take place if we were completely surrendered to the Holy Spirit! Can you hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church? "I'm going to have My way!" Let's start with our hearts first so that He truly can! Great discussion point, David!
