BEAUTIFUL harmonies, just need to work on the blend and controlling vocal volume range. Remember- if you cant hear yourself, you can always ask to be turned up in the monitor. :)I was out of town, so I dont know how it sounded in the house. On High & Lifted Up (which was gorgeous) & In Christ Alone, the bgv seemed to overpower the lead vocals a bit, and when the band drops off in H&LU to go back into the chorus I thought the BGVs should've dropped out and then come back in for the build up to create a more intimate moment.
I thought that particular team was a great combo and so very talented! Great job!
I thought this was a great week! Vocals, I was particularly impressed with your level of preparation and professionalism! Rachel - we are so excited to have you on the team, and your harmonies sounded great! I wouldn't be too concerned with the perceived volume level on evaluations or iCampus, considering your harmonies are totally on! I can't say for sure, but it probably wasn't that loud in the house mix. However, when you're getting used to a new stage, it can be easy to forget how sensitive the microphones truly are. There have been several times I totally meant to sing off-mic, but I still had the microphone too close (held down in front) and it still picked up my voice! Chris - your blend keeps getting stronger, way to go!
Loved what the musicians did on "In Christ Alone." It was STRONG!
Love the technology of Icampus and this blog. I'm glad I can come check this out...I try to peek in from Coffee House, but don't get to catch the whole set.
Rachel - welcome to the team.
Em- love your energy as always. You're so awesome girl. And your authentic worship when you sing! Wish we could bottle you! :)
Love the camera shots in Let God Arise where Fuller is singing and Webbo is off to the right singing and strummin' right there.
Thanks to every one for putting your heart into leading worship! Yall set the tone for God to go to work!
Hey Fuller,
ReplyDeleteThe set is awesome- love the bands energy in song one......everyone looks as though they are having fun!
my mic is waaaaaay too loud! which makes the blending off... other than that everyone looks great!
ReplyDeleteFrom the audience, this Sunday had a pretty good mix and flow overall I thought. The band played well. Singers were clear from my seat.
ReplyDeleteJon K.
Another strong weekend!
ReplyDeleteI thought the camera shots seemed a little rough but I know adding the BK TV made the entire shot perspective unique.
God is doing GREAT things through Colossians!!!!
