First off, let me say-It was such a powerful service while present! The energy of the choir added tremendously to the songs and to the congregation's participation.
I thought the mix sounded pretty good, and I don't know if any of the other BGVs struggled at all with hearing themselves. Most of the time I heard myself fine as a BGV. I tended to have a harder time hearing myself on Stronger, and felt as though I was singing "blindly" with the choir in my ears, belting in order to hear, and then grossly over doing it. But otherwise, I was impressed with how well they were added to the mix.
I think the camera shots suffered a bit because of the lighting. There were a lot of shadows even when the entire stage seemed lit. I particularly liked the shot taken during the chorus of "Rise and Sing" with Fuller and Jimmy, bc that is such a drum-driven portion. Great call!
I know that God moved on Sunday, and I am so thrilled to be part of His plans, and to serve with you great and talented people!
P.S. Fuller, are you going to post Good Friday's service? :-D
Congrats to the debut Of the Celebration Choir One more step in Lifting Him higher Instrumentals on point Vocals all off the chain The gifts and the blessing WAMILY- INSANE! :)
It was such an honor to be a part of last Sunday's Easter celebration. I thought that everybody - the band, vocalists and the choir not only sounded great but most importantly, we captured the spirit of what Easter is all about. Everyone was worshipful, on-purpose and celebrated His name passionately. Fuller, Dani and Heidi - awesome job on your solos! The stage and the lighting looked spectacular! Great effects on that first song! Reminded me of the Iron Chef with the spotlight on each singer:) One thing i noticed though was I thought the band overwhelmed Chris B's speaking part that I could not figure out what he was talking about. I LOVE our rockin band but I think that it's even more important that the congregation hears the words and the lyrics clearly and for a choir nerd like me - the vocal harmonies:)
