Amazing Grace(My Chains Are Gone)
Worship was strong this morning. All three services were consistent and a great lead in to the good word from Pastor Keith. It was great to see many different people leading us in worship this morning ... We will just need to work on getting them all lit. The stage design was a big hit, Thanks to all the volunteers who help make this weekend possible
I had my headphones on while listening to this and I must say, the team and the mix sounded great!!!!Wow!!! From my end, I was having a hard time hearing myself during the performance - lots of static and was going in and out probably because of the earbuds I was using. I couldn't really judge how we sounded because of this. I'm glad it all turned out great. Another thing, me being primarily a piano player, I have yet to learn a whole lot about playing keys particularly using the pads. Regarding the new set, I thought the white backdrop really healped brighten up the stage. Again, great job everyone. Im sooo honored to be a part of such a wonderful team. To Him be all the glory!!!
Hey guys. Can't watch the vid from this computer but just want to say WOW. I feel blessed and humbled to be a part of such an awesome ministry. You all are so gifted and your heart for God is evident in your talents and presence on stage.
I can tell you that the music set the tone for me when I walked into a church and got saved years ago! The stirring in my heart started with the music...and the rest of the service just drove it home.
I invited an unchurched friend with the foundation that she could hear me rap this Sunday. I've unsuccessfully invited her before. This Sunday...SHE CAME! And she liked the church and loved the music. I asked if she would come back and she said "maybe"...but that's a heck of a lot better than no. So I'd appreciate it if you keep her in your prayers to come back and open her heart to our Savior...she needs Him so much.
I'm blessed to serve with you all and look forward to any other opportunities God puts into motion.
Psalm 95 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Melinda (Redbonecowgirl on Twitter> If you see me following you that's me! :))
Melinda, you did great Sunday, and I"m glad your friend showed up. It's great when God uses things like this as extra incentives to get the Word to them.
Mark, your definitely not just 'piano guy'. Those pads and other parts were fine.
Creative team, I think this is the best looking set I've seen in the 6 or so months we've been going to NewHope.
This was a strong weekend, especially considering all the stuff going on. Saturday's seminar was awesome, a set change and a great Sunday! God is so good to us.
He is moving in people's lives and it is so amazing that He allows us to see Him move!!!
Thank you guys for all your hard work and prep time. It makes a huge difference as we strive to reach people, just like Melinda's friend! Excellence makes a BIG difference and a lot of time it is the open door that folks walk through... and then they get the Truth of Christ... which we all already know the POWER that comes with that!!!!
Stay strong! Read your WORD, and pray!!!! God is moving at our church!!!
Shawn Miller gets the award fro "Best Guitar Effect Ever in a Hymn"... for his performance on "Amazing Grace".... WOW!!!! That was freaky & cool... Really set a nice tone for that worship moment...
Hey guys, just thought I would share more awesome stuff. I invited a friend and her family I know that does not have a home church and hasn't been in church for 2 years. They came to 830 service. I asked my friend (the wife) what she thought of the worship. Her comments in summary:
She REALLY liked the intro to the new song. (Teaching the words). And she was also blown away by how songs were intermingled style wise. She also loved the set design and different people leading on stage.
Just thought I'd share thoughts from a first time visitor to the church to encourage your passion even more! They are coming back to visit again!!! Keep them in your prayers as well please. They've been gun shy for a while about the church. And even though she said they were still a little gun shy - Newhopers made them feel very comfortable and welcome. (Go Newhope!!!) Melinda
Greetings from Garner, NC! Can you believe that we still get internet out here? :)
Em and I caught iCampus this week and I wanted to make sure everyone knew just how amazing of a job ya'll did this week! I think we've all noticed by now that iCampus, for all the wonderful things that it offers, still always feels likes it's missing something that we capture in the live worship celebrations.
Knowing that, I was still completely blown away by the worship experience online.
The set design looks almost as beautiful on screen as it does in person so big props to all of those who helped dream and put it together this past Tuesday.
Melinda, WOW, welcome to the team! You killed it! Aside from your fantastic rap in My Savior Lives, your energy and presence on stage were nothing short of stellar. Even on our little iCampus window you found a way to engage us and keep our attention in a way that was both authentically you and authentically newhope. Can't wait to worship with you in person! (And I'm so glad to hear about the experience of your friends, it's great to hear that you're encouraging and leading them off the stage as well. And what a cool testimony of the work that God is doing at our church right now!)
I really like the camera shot back into the congregation during the greeting, it definitely gives us a sense that we're part of something much bigger and not just watching some people on a stage.
At the risk of repeating what so many have said already, I'm also a HUGE fan of the multiple leader approach. By engaging the congregation through so many different faces I think we communicate that our team is exactly that and that our focus is not on any individual but rather upon the one whom we all worship and serve.
PS: Mr Evans, I'm still waiting on a solo off of those displaced sixteenths ;)
Off da hook yall!!!!! Melinda, girl, WOOOOHH!!! You got skillz! Awesome, Awesome job!
Guys, I really could sense a great presence of the Holy Spirit rising, and I was only watching a video! Great multi-facted leader approach. I think it really shows our church that we are all truly in this together. God is so amazing! HE plants so many talented and gifted people in the right places to bring His message full fold, so it can be broadcasted for ALL.
My boy Fuller, who is what I call Psyco talented, bro you are the man! Great leadership dude! Give Me Your Eyes, was great. You are truly the driving force leading us to new places, bro. It is an honor to serve with you and to learn from you!
Set, was sick Nasty! Love the casting shadows and the bowtie fabric. I'm coming over to steal some Harvest baskets in the name of Jesus, haha, for Garner!
I couldn't tell on the video, but were the subs not thumping the click track groove line? I could some what hear it, but not hear it..... just wondering???
Guys, God is doing such an amazing work in newhope church. We are pouring out our hearts in excellence and He is rewarding us with , new faces, great worship, but most of all......THE LOST WHO WALK IN THOSE DOORS ARE SET FREE AND SAVED WHEN THEY LEAVE!!!! THAT'S WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT!!!
AWESOME job, guys. WAM team killed it. Melinda: you rocked that rap, girl. God was in the house today. Love the worship at New Hope.
