  1. I noticed that I was much darker on camera than Michelle even though we were lit the same. It was because my clothes were much darker then hers. We (including me) should make it a point that BGV singers (who won't be lit as much as Fuller/Micah/Gary) need to dress brightly so we don't fade into the stage.

  2. Was there an audience or room mic on this one? It sounds kind of dry...

Also - Fuller - you can tell me to stop playing sometimes. Sheesh. :)

  3. Looking at the lighting perspective, intros seemed dark as did instrumentals. Overall, the video looked much darker than the live performance so have to decide which is more important.

May need to light band at a little higher intensity. They seemed OK when in the background but dark on closeups.

We need to solve the center stage lighting issue. Fuller was ina dark hole when Micah was front and center. When we re-aimed the lights we set them so when there were two leads. they would both be on the tongue of the stage. May be able to solve this by re-aiming channels 26 and 27 more off center or by using more of a wash in the center utilizing channel 6.

Shots from on stage out at the audiance were really dark. May want to consider lighting the congregation a little higher so it doesn't look light a void.

Smoke was really heavy and a little distracting when it was being pumped so heavy. May want to consider a little less.

  4. I think lighting for Worship is more important how it feels in the room than what it looks like on camera. If we were recording a DVD or something, I would say different.

i think when we get spotlights, that issue will be completely resolved.

As far as the haze, I think we just need to time it in less conspicuous spots. The more haze, the better the lighting looks:)

    Great comments guys!!!

  5. Ok, having trouble posting-- bottom line, need to blend better and I need to direct my voice at the microphone in a consistent manner- keep fading in and out. Also need to tone down the volume (me). Fuller and Micah and band sounded awesome. Could not hear you stick out David- that is good, I think.
